Biodynamics is a method of agriculture which seeks to actively work with the health-giving forces of nature. It is the oldest non-chemical agricultural movement, predating the organic agriculture movement by some 20 years and has now spread throughout the world.
The Oregon Biodynamic Group began in 1975. Our membership numbers 75 gardeners, homesteaders, and farmers from throughout Oregon and beyond. We hold quarterly meetings, with the spring and fall meetings dedicated to making the biodynamic preparations. Our winter meeting focuses on study of Rudolf Steiner's Agricultural Lectures that form the basis of biodynamics. Beginning in 1990, we have sponsored one or more conferences a year on a wide variety of topics.
Members receive notification of upcoming meetings and events and access to the group's libraries.
